Supporting Natural Gas Vehicles on Renewable Natural Gas
PORTLAND OR — DMT Clear Gas Solutions announces joining the NW Alliance for Clean Transportation (NWACT) in support of natural gas vehicles (NGVs) on renewable natural gas (RNG). Without a doubt, transportation is a leading source of climate change and air quality pollutants. As a result, DMT, a leading technology supplier for RNG, is proud to join others whose mission aligns with ours.
As pipeline-quality gas, RNG is fully interchangeable with conventional natural gas and thus can be used in NGVs. Captured from organic material in agricultural, wastewater, landfill, or food waste, RNG produces carbon-negative results when fueling on-road vehicles like short- and long-haul trucks, transit buses, and recycling collection vehicles. Additionally, RNG qualifies as an advanced biofuel under the Renewable Fuel Standard. A diversified decarbonization strategy embraces all renewable energy technologies, including RNG.
